I just ordered my B2910 & FEL today and will be in need of a backhoe for future projects. I noticed Kubota offers two models and I was wondering if there are any 3rd party backhoes that someone could recommend? Can I realize and savings by going 3rd party? I will be using to clean up my pond, dig out stumps etc..

In response I am from Wausau, Wisconsin and the JD4200 is a 4wd hydro. I just noticed that the JD 4200 willbe auctioned next weekend. I am leaning towards the Kubota for the warranty and comfort level of the local dealer. How much should I expect to pay for the 2710 with loader?

I am in the market for a compact tractor and narrowed it down to the JD 4200 or Kubota 2410/2710. I did locate a 1998 4200 w/loader with 279 hours for $12,200. Is this a good value? I plan on using the tractor to maintain a driveway, some landscaping and to build logging roads on my wooded 40 acre parcel in the future.

Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated!

I came across a dealer in Northwestern Wis where I live that has a two year old Kubota B7500 HSD with loader & 168 hours for $10,000.

How does this compare to purchasing a new model? Is the used unit fairly priced?
